Even many peoples is being aware of skincare, in my knowledge, many people don’t know about Ampoules at all. Ampoules are highly concentrated supercharged serums. If serums are for the twenties then ampoules are for after the thirties and the rest of the life. Because of the gem ingredients, ampoules are the most pricy thing within every type of skincare item after serums. Nobody can say that it’s not worth spending hundreds of dollars. Ampoules generally come in very small quantities and with expensive price tags. It usually will last for a month, some even less if you use it daily. But it also shows results within that period.

Ampoule, Ampul or Ampule
Ampoule, Ampul or Ampule

So, What is an Ampoule?

Ampules generally mean a sealed glass with concentrated liquid in it. And that’s what Ampuls are. Ampoules, Ampule, or Ampul is a focused skincare product like a highly concentrated serum with a base active ingredient. In an Ampul the main ingredient covers about 80-90% of the product which is high. Because of that, packagings are mostly airtight sealed glass, so it does not react with the environment because of the active ingredient. Now it also comes in the serum-like package, with a dropper in more volume. Even for this much concentration, ampules get absorbed into the skin quickly. Most of it will leave skin bright which is an added benefit.

What’s the History Behind Ampoules?

Medicins are behind the making of Ampoules. Just like Homeopathy or Syrups always comes in sealed glass bottles to cure a specific condition. Just like the medicines you can’t use most of the ampules regularly or extra. Ampoules came with the same concept. Their expiry date is also within a month/s after opening the seal.

How to Use an Ampoule?

Cleanse your face properly. It’s better to skip exfoliation for the day. If you do exfoliate make sure you don’t overdo it and make skin sensitive. A little exfoliation is a good idea because then the ampoule can interact with live cells better. After that, you may skin the toner or not. But skip Serum. Serums contain active ingredients too. And too many types of active ingredients will do less good for your skin.

You can directly use the ampule on your skin after cleansing. At most, you can use a light toner. Do not go out so that you can skip sunscreen. After 5-10 minutes of using Ampoule, use your moisturizer to lock it. This will benefit the maximum. K-beauty is famous for layering. But layering also prevents a particular product works its best. For other products it’s okay. But if I’m using an active product like serum or specially Ampule I’d like to give it some time to settle on the skin and absorb then lock it with a moisturizer. Do not wait more than 10 minutes because active ingredients also react with air or will evaporate.

You can use Ampoule for a specific area. For example around the eye, forehead, around the mouth for dark patches, or around the nose. See where the problem is and apply only to that area. For that, you can use a single ampoule for more days. But then please keep it in a dry, air-tight.

Do not use it with Foundation or Sunscreen or with a Serum. What hardly you can do is use it with a moisturizer. Add two drops of Ampule in your moisturizer thrice a week if you’re a newbie in the Ampoule department. That’s all, Do not waste that expensive product by using it with a foundation ever.

Benefits of Ampoules

Ampoules are great for anti-aging, brightening, youthfully glowing, fine lines, preventing wrinkles, making skin softer, and younger. They can give you every needed thing needed for looking young, soft, supple, and shiny.

Is it Necessary to Spend a Lot of Money on Ampoules?

I’ll never say that spending over a hundred dollars is a necessity on a cosmetic product even if that’s meant for care and highly beneficial. Eat healthy, exercise, and take care of your skin with proper cleansing-exfoliating-specific Serum-Moisturizer-Sunscreen. That’s all you need, not more maybe less!

What’s the proper Age to Start applying Ampoules?

Do not use it in your Twenties or early Thirties. I see no reason to spend that much money on ampoule when your skin is okay. That’s right. The starting age is different for everybody. If I say I’ll never use an ampoule in my twenties that does not mean you can’t or needn’t. Measure your skin health visually, if it seems fine and bright without any major problem then don’t use Ampoule. Ampoules will not do a lot for skin if your skin does not have any problems. If you feel your skin dull, you can simply go for Klairs Vitamin C Serum. I have used it, still using it, and will use it. This is so great serum at that price. It makes my face bright and shiny!

Are Ampoules Necessity After an Age?

Well, for me, I’ll use an Ampule at least a few times in my lifetime to see their magical benefits. Hear me out, the necessity depends on the money, tuft truth. If you can afford it, you probably need it. Still, there’s no need for using ampoules before the thirties at all. Using a proper serum is great.

What’s the Different between Serums and Ampoules?

The main difference between Serums and Ampoules is the concentration of the active ingredient. In serum, the amount is usually moderate to low whereas in ampoules they are high and also the main ingredient in place of aqua or water. So basically Ampuls are a pack of active ingredients which is made for specific problems. Also, in Ampoules the list of ingredients is pretty less and that makes ampules more effective. Also for Serums, they are for regular use or even twice just like other skincare products. But ampules are for special events and concerns.

Why Ampoules are so Pricey?

First of all, its main ingredient is an active product instead of aqua. That increases the price. Another fact is the container, the glass quality. Containers themselves are quite pricey than other types of containers. Most of the containers are also for single-use because of the seal. And another important fact is marketing. As ampules are super beneficial they are pricey. People always pay for that what’s exclusive or worthwhile.

Can Ampoules have any Negative Effects?

Ampuls are stronger than Serums. An immature skin is not ideal for using ampoules. In general, Ampules do not have any negative effects. If you have a skin condition you should consult with a dermatologist. Because of high active ingredients, it may affect negatively particular skin concerns. Read the instructions carefully. Ampules are the medicines for skin. That’s why you do not use it until you need it or without making sure that it does not harm.

Make sure to use it within the expiry date it has mentioned. It can be one month, more or less. Do not use it daily, Use it once to thrice a week for a specific time. Do not continue it for the whole year. Give a break of 2-3 weeks or one month in between. Check your skin’s improvement and change the ampoule for targeting other problems. You can always use the same one if you always wanna have the specific benefit.
